Memorial Day Observance and After Hours Access to the Graff Library

In observance of Memorial Day, the Library Services team will not staff the Graff Medical and Scientific Library building Monday, May 30, 2016. We will respond to your questions and process interlibrary loan and document delivery requests on Tuesday, May 31.

Please remember that City of Hope staff and students may access the library anytime. Although the Graff Library is staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., the building is available 365/24/7 via badge access at our back egress (near the Hilton building). For more information, refer to the After Hours brochure.

My Lessons in Leadership: California Library Leadership Institute 2016

I had the honor of applying, and being accepted, to the 2016 California Library Leadership Institute which was held in San Jose, California, from March 9 to 14. There were 32 attendees at the institute from a variety of libraries throughout the state. Each attendee brought a different resume, cadre of experience and point-of-view to the institute, which resulted in meaningful conversations and different approaches to problem solving. This experience was not only empowering, but it also contained a lot of invaluable information about leadership skills and resources.

The library has access to the full series of Biomedical & Life Sciences Lectures which contains over 1,800 online seminar style talks by the world’s leading experts on the latest research, developments and fundamentals of the field.
