Have you ever located an article, book chapter or book that is critical to your research, professional development or work-life balance but the library does not own it?
Is there an article or book chapter that you are anxious to read but it is only available in print at the library?
Is your office or work space located at Rivergrade, Mayflower or a remote clinic, or is your schedule very busy, making it difficult to get to the library?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, the library can help you!
Through the use of our interlibrary loan system (ILLiad) we are able to take in your requests electronically and either scan and deliver print articles and chapters, or request these items from other institutions. We recently wrote about The Infinite Library and highlighted our resource sharing networks and strides we’ve made in turnaround time. Our patrons are increasing their usage of ILLiad and continue to find this service to be a critical part of how they access information.
As a researcher, I often come upon scientific articles in obscure journals and books that are not readily available to the public and most research institutions. I have found that when I am in need of one of these difficult to find titles, I can rely upon using ILLiad to find what I need to further my research activities. Using ILLiad is a simple, fast and convenient way to get access to hard-to-find journal articles.

The service at the library is amazing. I was recently asked [to obtain] an article I co-authored and we didn’t have access to that journal. Within a day they provided me with a copy I could share with my colleague. I highly recommend using the library for help with any manuscript needs.
