Question of the month: I can’t get the full text of an article. What do I do?

One of the most common questions we get is how to get the full text of a journal article when access is denied by the journal site.  The answer is simple: contact us.  We can either work with the publisher to fix the problem (if we are supposed to have access) or help you submit an interlibrary loan request (if we don’t subscribe to the journal).  But we can’t help you if we don’t know there’s a problem, so please let us know right away.

This question probably seems very basic, but often we don’t learn about problems until someone has been trying to get access for days and has become very frustrated.  We’re happy to help you, so please don’t hesitate to let us know about problems.
