John Carrigan retires

John Carrigan, Electronic Services Librarian, has retired after 40 years of service at City of Hope.  After earning a degree in biology from Caltech, John began his career at City of Hope in 1972.  John managed our interlibrary borrowing and lending programs, served as the library’s business manager, and helped countless library users find books, journal articles, and other information to support their work.

In addition to his work here in the library, John is a longtime volunteer with the Red Cross, supporting disaster response both locally and nationally.  His activities ranged from helping families after house fires to working with survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

We all miss John’s vast knowledge and sense of humor and wish him a wonderful, rewarding retirement.
