Change Google Scholar settings to use new link resolver

The library has a new link resolver (see a previous post explaining the change), so you will need to adjust your Google Scholar settings to use the new resolver rather than the old one.  This post includes step-by-step instructions for making the change.

1. Go to Google Scholar and click on Scholar Preferences as shown in the screenshot below:

2. Next, go to the Library Links section and search for City of Hope – Graff Library as shown in this screenshot:

You will probably get two identical results.  If your Google Scholar is already configured to use one of them, choose the other one.  If you haven’t configured Google Scholar at all yet, pick one of the two.

3. Now, let’s test to be sure you have chosen the right entry.  Return to the Google Scholar main menu and do a search on something.  Click the Find It@City of Hope link as shown in this screenshot:

If you are taken to a window that looks something like the screenshot below, you’re done.

If you’re taken to a window that looks like our old resolver, or you get an error message, repeat step 2, choosing the other City of Hope – Graff Library option.  Then repeat step 3 to be sure it works.  If it still doesn’t work, please contact the library (library@coh.org, x68497), and we’ll help you get it working.

I’m sorry for the confusion.  We didn’t realize that we would end up with two identical choices in Google Scholar.
