Coming Soon: New Tools for Finding Journal Articles and Electronic Books

We have purchased some new tools to help you find journal articles and electronic books.  These tools will replace our existing A-Z list and link resolver (i.e. the tool that links from databases like PubMed to the full text of articles).

Beginning in the next few days, you will see the new link resolver when you click the Find@COH button () in a library database.  It works the same way our previous link resolver did, providing a menu of options for getting the full text of an article.  Here’s an example:

The new A-Z list is also very similar to our current product and will be linked in the usual places on our web site beginning around December 20.  You can search by title, including the first few words of a title, the exact title, or words in the title.  The screenshot below shows the search box and search results using the default, basic search.

The product also includes an advanced search with additional features, allowing searches by publisher, ISSN, and more.  The screenshot below shows the advanced search screen.

If you would like to try it out before December 20, point your browser to http://atoz.ebsco.com/home.asp?Id=K12411.

We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this changeover may cause.  We are making the change, because the new product includes better holdings data and management features at a much lower cost than our current product.   Please let us know if you have any problems using the new tools, either by leaving a comment below, emailing library@coh.org, or calling x68497.
