All e-books from the National Academies Press are now free

On June 2, the National Academies Press announced that all PDF versions of their books will be available for download free of charge from their website.  From their site, you can browse by subject area—including Biology and Life Sciences–or search by keyword.  Current best sellers featured on their page include On Being a Scientist: A Guide to Responsible Conduct in Research (3rd ed.) and Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (8th ed.).  Another recent book that may of interest is A National Cancer Clinical Trials System for the 21st Century: Reinvigorating the NCI Cooperative Group Program.

The Graff Library will be adding links to the PDFs in catalog records for print books we own, and we will add records to our catalog and A-Z list for additional titles that seem most relevant to City of Hope users.
